Painting your Kitchen Cabinets

Do you have old wood kitchen cabinets and want to give them a new and modern look?

At Painters Enterprise, we can take your wood cabinets and refinish them with a durable and beautiful finish.

We say we paint the kitchen cabinets but we actually don’t us ‘Paint’. We use the same products that new kitchen cabinets are coated with. At Painters Enterprise, we use Waterbase Lacquer Coatings to give your cabinets that smooth factory finish that durable and strong enough for a busy kitchen.

Refinishing your kitchen cabinets for a fraction of a new kitchen

Replacing your kitchen with new Cabinets can cost you anywhere from $30,000 to $80,000. When all you need is a new look, refinishing your cabinet doors and frames of your kitchen will allow you to have a brand new looking kitchen for a fraction of the cost of replacing everything.

Ordering new cabinets is also a pain due to the wait time of ordering and manufacturing.

We have a 5-day process that will transform your kitchen from boring wood cabinets to a bright or dark amazing color. Giving you the kitchen you have been wanting in a very quick turn around.

We love painting homes and working with families to create the best home. So, why not change up that kitchen? It is one of the most used areas of the home.

Choosing the right painter for your kitchen cabinets

Choosing the right painter for painting your home is crucial to achieving the desired result. You want a professional who can provide quality work, ensure timely completion, and offer fair pricing.

Here are what you do and don’t want to happen.

What you want to happen:

  • Beautiful new color in your kitchen.

  • Smooth and factory-finish cabinet doors and frames

  • Durable and washable kitchen cabinets.

What you don’t want to happen:

  • Cabinet Doors peeling off paint from poor prep work and no primer

  • The Cabinets look like they were painted. Roll and brush marks.

  • Your Cabinets to not be washable.

These guys love to paint. I love companies who love what they do. I highly recommend.

Paint Vs Lacquer for Kitchen Cabinets

It isn’t just the paint vs lacquer that is in question here but really what is underneath. In order for your kitchen cabinets to be durable and last for years, the prep work and the primer is essential to pulling everything together.

We degrease all cabinets prior to sanding the areas as this will allow us to remove the contaminants and not sand them into the doors. Next we Power Sand all areas to roughen up the surface and find any imperfections.

The primer that we use is the best that is out there. It is a Vinyl Bonding Primer that will stick to practically anything and allow other top coats to adhere properly.
Sometimes, we will have to use a block staining primer if some stains are coming through.

The next key thing is the top coat that we apply. Paint can work but why use paint when you can use something stronger and more washable? We use the same type of products that cabinet manufacturers use on new kitchen cabinets. We buy it from the same stores and have the same equipment to apply it.

So when it comes to refinishing your kitchen cabinets, don’t settle for something that will look alright. Our refinishing will allow you to have the kitchen in the color that you love and a beautiful smooth finish.
